Submissions and the Data Explorer

The Monitor tab

Monitor shows where things stand: each workspace and form, how many submissions have arrived and when the last came in, and the open quality findings. Each form's card shows its pace in short (interviews a day over its active days, and per enumerator) and opens its submissions, the Data Explorer, its quality checks and reports. Published field-monitoring dashboards are listed at the top.

Submission statistics draws the daily submissions of each form over a period you choose, counted by day in the workspace's time zone, with a picture you can download.

The Data Explorer

Monitor form data opens a form's Data Explorer: every submission, newest first, 50 to a page, with the form's questions as columns.

• Column headings are the question labels, in any of the form's languages (Labels in), with the variable name underneath. Choice labels shows what a choice says instead of its code.
• A file answer (photo, audio, signature) is a small link that opens the file.
• System and device fields, calculations, repeat counts and each choice's 0/1 column are behind Technical columns. A wide form shows 30 columns at a time; Jump to goes straight to a section.
• Filter by enumerator, by quality (flagged or clean), by the days received (in the workspace's time zone), or with a search over the answers, the enumerator and the KEY.
• Export current data downloads exactly the submissions the filters select, every page of them, as the same WIDE CSV the Export tab gives.

The Data Explorer shows corrected answers where a submission was corrected, and identifying answers masked for anyone without identity access. It has no charts or pivot tables: for those, build a dashboard.

One submission

Click a submission's date to see every answer, its attachments, its quality findings and its review, and step to the older or newer one. Look up by key opens one directly from its KEY (uuid:…). From here a reviewer approves, rejects or corrects it; see Review and correct.

Who sees what

Owners, managers and reviewers see the Data Explorer and submissions of the workspaces they reach. An external client sees them only if their access includes data, and quality findings only if it includes quality. Everyone without identity access sees identifying answers as the workspace's Privacy page says (a pseudonym, nothing, or a rounded location).
